We're children from all around the world and we all love books. We're joined by a project, where we discover the world of books and share stories with young readers from other countries. Books made us friends and our plan is to bring some books to life :)

SCHOOL SLIPPERS

Some of you were surprised that in Slovenija we wear slippers in school. This is how school slippers with rubber sole look like while their owners are playing infront of the classroom in their playground :)

Are they magical? All different shapes and sizes. They are different from ours. Our slippers look more like shoes. We only wear slippers when we are wearing pajamas.

Hello, Fish!

Don't you wear slippers at home? We take shoes off when coming home and put slippers on (they are different from school slippers). We can't even imagine we'd walk in shoes inside our houses, jump on the couch, bed, ...

What about in other countries?

Love to all.

We do wear shoes in the house, except when it's raining or snowy outside, and then we leave them at the door. Some of us do only go about inside in stocking feet. We are not allowed to jump on beds and couches though. That does sound like fun! We also wonder what other countries do.
Love,
The Fish

Well, jumping on the couches or beds is not exactly Slovenian national home activity, don't get us wrong ;) But when watching the tv or reading books ... it's cosy to "roll" yourself like a cat and enjoy on warm and soft places. And having shoes on sounds like trouble ... Wearing slippers at home all the time seems like a Slovenian speciality :)
